Hey guys! So, today seems like it might be a little bit bigger of a news day, so lets get into it! Here are your headlines...
- Batman: The Dark Knight is set to gross roughly 240 MILLION DOLLARS for it's opening week, breaking ANOTHER record. It set the alltime, non holiday, monday this past monday, grossing 24.5 million bucks. How far can this go? Well, lets look at it this way...
~~ Great cast
~~ EXCESSIVLEY HYPED role
~~ Solid story
~~ Opening weekend sellouts
~~ Amazing reviews
~~ Great rewatchability
~~ Tons of action
~~ Overall great film
Well, lets just say, sky's the limit...
- Instead of coming out with two console games, Warner Brothers will be releasing two DOWNLOADABLE games...I personally have this flick at the top of my anticipated spring films, so any good news just adds to my excitement...
- The last piece of news comes to us from ABC. They have found replacements for Ebert and Roeper. Here's the news from the Chicago Tribune...
Ben Lyons of E! Entertainment Television and Ben Mankiewicz of Turner Classic Movies Tuesday were named co-hosts of what was described as “the new generation” of “At the Movies” by the Walt Disney Co.’s Buena Vista Productions and Disney-ABC Television Distribution.
“With the addition of Ben Lyons and Ben Mankiewicz as our talented, charismatic new co-hosts, and exciting new segments planned, we’re confident that audiences will be enjoying ‘At the Movies’ for many years to come,” said Brian Frons, who oversees Buena Vista Productions as president of Disney-ABC Television Group’s daytime division.
Two days later...Two of the greatest critics today, one of which happens to be one of the greatest EVER, are replaced in two days. Impressive ABC. To bad they missed out on yours truly. However, Grand Valley Students listen, check out GVBN, the schools news channel, as I may just be making some regularly scheduled appearences...not my own show, but I will have a spot on a talk show, at least as of this moment...
Alright guys, that's all I've got for now. Come back later for more news and notes along with three films to check out this weekend!
Go see something good!
