WEEKEND WRAP UP...

Hey guys! This may be the shortest weekend wrap up ever, but you'll see it's for good reason...here are you box office top 10...

1.High School Musical 3: Senior Year
2.Zack and Miri Make a Porno
3.Saw V
4.Changeling
5.The Haunting of Molly Hartley
6.Beverly Hills Chihuahua
7.The Secret Life of Bees
8.Max Payne
9.Eagle Eye
10.Pride and Glory

HSM3 grossed another 15 million bucks, even though it had, and all films had for that matter, an extremely rough Friday. Zack and Miri grossed 10 million, which is pretty standard, although below standards for the star Seth Rogen, for Kevin Smith comedies. Please though, check it out. It's a very solid film, and so is Changeling. If there was one film to go see however, please, I beg of you all, get out and see W. It's really solid...

Okay, now this is where it gets interesting. There is not ONE single DVD worth noting this week! If you are a Steve Carell fan then I would say go check out Get Smart, but instead, how about you all save your money, and go out and vote. No matter who it's for, but your voice can not be heard unless you use it in the proper way, and that is going to the polls, and voting for who you think should run this country. It's not a political issue, it's a social issue, and instead of only having 50.3% of this nation get out, lets all go out and do what we can to make this country better. For most of the people reading this, it's your first time, yours truly included, and there is no better time for a first time than during the most important election in this great countries history. Please, vote.

So, we all thought that the DVD selection was short, well, so is the theatrical releases. First is the animated film, Madagascar 2: Escape to Africa, the sequel to the mediocre/bad film, Madagascar. It has been getting better early reviews, so if you are young or have a young one, check it out. Second is Role Models, a film starring Paul Rudd. It looks awful, so I'm moving on. Finally, there is Rachel Getting Married, the new film from Silence of The Lambs director, Johnathan Demme, and stars Anne Hathaway. She portrays a girl who, over the past 10 years, has been in and out of rehab, and is now coming home for her sister's wedding. Hathaway is getting some Oscar talk, so this is the one I would say check out. If I see anything this weekend, this will be the one, so expect a review of this on Saturday.

That's all for now, so come back later for more movie news! What should my next top 10 be?

Go see something good!

  1. Looks like we've got a pretty bland/bad weekend ahead of us. Although I was watching At the Movies last night (which is really awful now that they've changed hosts, it's just that I had nothing better to do) and the movie Splinter looked decent. I had never heard of it before, but it's a horror movie getting a limited release sometime soon.

    P.S. I already voted! :D

You've gotta love early voting, such a time-saver...
