NEWS: Sequels, Nazis, and a Sherlock Holmes...

Hey guys! I've been on a "vacation" the past couple of days, so there are quite a few things to get into...here are your headlines...

- As I put in a note a little bit ago, Paul Newman, star of classics like Cool Hand Luke, has passed away at the age of 83 from a long time fight with cancer...May this titan of a man and actor be remember for the legend he was...

- Disney is in talks to add on to the hit "National Treasure" franchise...
- As of today, there will not be a Devil Wears Prada sequel...thanks to The Movie Blog for the info...

I’m really, really proud of Fox’s decision not to pursue a sequel,” the 25-year-old actress said of the 2006 film that became an unexpected $100 million blockbuster. “When I did [the upcoming film] ‘Bride Wars’ with them I asked what happened, and they said we can’t make a story, and it’s not worth it to damage the original film.”

Thoughts? Is this a film you would like to see a sequel to?
- CASTING: Rachel McAdams has joined the cast of Guy Ritchie's Sherlock Holmes and will play the love intrest to the literary icon...
- The first images from Tim Burton's upcoming film, Alice In Wonderland have been released...check it out!

I could not be more excited about this film...It's got Burton's feel and tone, and it should be right up his wheelhouse...What are your thoughts??
- CASTING: Billy Crystal is returning to live action in the new Disney film, The Tooth Fairy...
- Finally, a new poster for the Tom Cruise Nazi vehicle, Valkyrie has been released...

Could anyone care less about this film than I do right now? It's been pushed back a billion times, the buzz behind it is Disaster Movie bad, and the first trailer really didn't rock my junk. What do YOU think?

I'll have a review tomorrow, along with an extra long Weekend Wrap Up post...a few big trailers have been released, so I'll talk more about those tomorrow...

Go see something good!!
