So, we've seen the release of the trailer for Oscar bait film, The Soloist, so to follow, te people over at Universal have released the first trailer for the hotly anticipated film, Changeling. The film stars Angelina Jolie, John Malkovich and Jeffery Donovan who most may know as the guy who kidnapped Alex in CSI: Miami, or as the main character in the grossly underrated show, Burn Notice. It tells the story of a mother, Christine Collins, whose son is kidnapped, and later found. However, suspicions that the child that was found may not be her true son arise. The film is directed by legendary film maker/actor Clint Eastwood and looks like it will be one hell of a good film. Here's the trailer...
What are your thoughts? To me, the period looks completly sold, the cast is great, Eastwood is a master film maker, and the story looks to be really compelling. It has a little darker of a tone, at least in the feel and composition of the shots that we've seen, and is a great contrast to the Soloist trailer that I thought was a bit glossy. This film is really pretty to look at, but it's got darker feel, and the story should play right into that. I'm always a sucker for a good and compelling thriller.
