The Facebook page for the Mad Hatter has released a new poster for the upcoming Tim Burton reboot/remake/adaptation/emogasm of Alice in Wonderland. I love the style of it all, and this is one film that I really can't wait to see. This is the story that Burton was born to film. Enjoy!

TRAILER: Alice In Wonderland...

Here it is. Not much news here, so really, just let me know what you think of the first teaser for the HOTLY anticipated Alice in Wonderland adaptation from Tim Burton.

Alice in Wonderland is directed by visionary director Tim Burton, of everything from Pee-Wee's Big Adventure to Beetlejuice to Batman to Edward Scissorhands to Mars Attacks to Sleepy Hollow to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory to Sweeney Todd most recently. The screenplay was written by Disney's own Linda Woolverton, of Beauty and the Beast, Homeward Bound, and The Lion King previously. This is based on Lewis Carroll's beloved series of books that were first published in 1865. Disney is bringing Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland to both digital 3D and 2D theaters everywhere on March 5th, 2010 early next year.

FIRST LOOK: Depp, Bonham Carter, Hathaway, and Lucas in Alice in Wonderland...

Over the weekend, Walt Disney Pictures released the first promotional photos from Tim Burton’s 3D re-imagining of Alice in Wonderland. The photos below are the first official photos of Johnny Depp as a freakish-looking Mad Hatter, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, and Anne Hathaway as The White Queen, looking very pale. Finally, you have the newest photo released, which hit the web today, of Matt Lucas as -shaped Tweedledee and Tweedledum (Matt Lucas) and more. Enjoy, and let me know what you think!!!

Also released, was some of the much anticipated concept art for the film, which can be seen HERE.

Honestly, I'm not nearly the biggest fan of Tim Burton, or at least his repetitive style, but for Alice In Wonderland, it fits perfectly. I had previously announced my love for this project, in not only the cast, but having Burton take the helm, and while I wish he would stick to original material, but THIS is what Burton was born to do. This and get emo kids to procreate.

NEWS: Alan Rickman in Alice In Wonderland...

Hey guys! So, as many of you may have been following, Tim Burton's Alice In Wonderland is shaping up to have one of the best casts for a film in a long time. That said, there are still a few parts they need to fill, and one of them has just been covered, allegedly. It looks as though Alan Rickman will take over the part of the Catepillar. Here's the info straight from the source over at Cinematical...

I keep thinking that the casting for the remake of Alice in Wonderland can't get any better. And then I came across the latest rumor coming from Zdonk: Alan Rickman -- the man who helped make Die Hard what it is, who once played a crotch-less angel, and who keeps a stern eye on Harry Potter -- has signed on to play the Caterpillar.

Take a look at the clip above and tell me you can't hear Rickman's voice speaking those lines! Between Rickman, Crispin Glover as the Knave of Hearts, Helena Bonham Carter as the Red Queen, Michael Sheen as the Cheshire Cat, and Johnny Depp as the Mad Hatter, this is gearing up to be one heck of a well-cast feature. But there's more -- along with confirming Rickman, Christopher Lee Web says that Lee also has a role -- currently unspecified.

I'm beyond happy with the news, but weigh in below with your thoughts -- as well as any speculation on what role Lee will play!

Well, that's pretty much perfect casting if I do say so myself. What do you guys think?

The only other nugget of news comes to us from the happiest place on Earth, Disney. With the recent delays of a few big time Oscar bait films, it has been a long time question of Disney and Pixar would in fact push their amazing animated film, Wall-E, for Best Picture at the upcoming Academy Awards. Well, it looks as though they are going to do just that. Later in the week Disney will officially begin the campaign for Wall-E in the Best Picture Category. Only one other animated film has ever garnered the nomination, and that was Beauty And The Beast, and no animated films have won the category. It will still be able to be nominated for Best Animated Feature as well. What are your thoughts? Does it have a shot?

That's all I've got for now!

- Cars 2 will now be released in summer 2011 instead of the holiday 2012 release...
- Oprah has just signed on to be a voice actor in the upcoming 2-D animated release from Disney, The Princess and The Frog...

Lets put some rumors to rest...

So, as you all know, I normally talk about some big rumors, and a few times, they don't pan out. However, the following two rumors that I've talked about have been fufilled...

- Brad Pitt has OFFICIALLY JOINED INGLORIOUS BASTARDS!!! Thanks to The Movie Blog for the info....

Today we get word that Brad Pitt has signed on the dotted line and will star in Tarantino’s Inglorious Bastards and joining him in early casting are Eli Roth (director of Hostel) and B.J. Novak (”The Office”, Knocked Up).

Pitt will play a Tennessee hillbilly who assembles a team of eight Jewish-American soldiers. Eli Roth will play the role of Sgt. Donnie Donowitz, and Tarantino is locking in the other seven American actors who make up the Bastards team. Novak is expected to play PFC Utivich, described as a soldier of slight build who comes from New York.

That is huge news, and makes me just more excited for this film. QT's been writing this thing for about 20 years now, and the scripts been floating around and getting rave reviews, so expect this one to be huge. Shooting starts later this year, and it will open next years Cannes Film Festival...Oh, and Nastassja Kinski is in talks to join the film...yes, Kinski, the daughter of the brilliant Klaus Kinski...call me excited...

- The second rumor, and we saw this coming, was that Johnny Depp would be staring as the Mad Hatter in Tim Burton's new adaptation of Alice in Wonderland. Well, it's 100% true. No information has been leaked about the possible shooting schedule, so more news on this as it develops...

In other news...
- Indy 5, yes, Indiana Jones 5, which is allegedly in the works, will NOT be based around Mutt Williams, at least if George Lucas has any control (and I must say, I wish he wouldn't...)
- The feature film adaptation of Flash Gordon is back in production...

That's all I have for now, so come back later for more news and a possible review of either Mummy 3 or X Files: I Want To Believe...
