TRAILER: Full Length Notorius Trailer...
I really like this trailer. It doesn't look like will be anything new, but the guy had an insanely interesting life, that would work great as a film. Also, while I love biopics that strive to be something bigger, like I'm Not There, that style of film wouldn't fit this guys story. It looks like it may actually be good, but I'm not holding my breath. What are your thoughts?

NEWS: Stoners, Cartoons, And Biggie...
I've got a lot of stuff to get into, so here are your headlines...
- It looks as though, with the sudden reboot of Mickey Rourkes career with his performance in The Wrestler, his catalog has been put on the remake market, and first to come up is Angel Heart. Producer Mike De, who produced such classics as Ghost Rider and Blade 2 (saved only by the rave opening), has picked up the remake rights along with the rights to Falling Angel, the book from which the film is based on...
- Anthony Hemingway is set to helm Red Tails, a film about the first African American pilots in WWII, and the film was developed by George Lucas who put the film aside years ago to work on the Star Wars Prequels...Thoughts?
- The CW, home of Smallville, is looking at continuing the young superhero story with a possible show based around Dick Grayson, aka, Robin...
- Jack Black is set to star in a Bourne Identity style comedy...
- David Gordon Green, helmer of this years hit, Pineapple Express, is a busy guy. His cartoon, Good Vibes, has been picked up by Fox; he's attached to direct a Suspiria remake; AND his next film, Your Highness, is a film starring Danny McBride who will play a stoner prince who fights dragons...
- Finally, head over to http://www.foxsearchlight.com/index.php and you can pick which poster for the upcoming biopic of legendary rapper, The Notorious B.I.G., Notorious...here are your choices...

That's all I've got for now...come back later for more news and notes!

TRAILER: Notorious...
Today, the new teaser for the Notorious B.I.G. biopic, Notorious, was released by Fox Searchlight...check it out...
Thanks to /Film for the following...
Official Plot Synopsis: Notorious tells the story of the life of rapper Christopher Wallace a.k.a. The Notorious B.I.G. The film stars multiple award winner Angela Bassett as Christopher’s mother Voletta Wallace, Derek Luke as Sean Combs, Anthony Mackie as Tupac Shakur and introducing Jamal Woolard as The Notorious B.I.G. After the overwhelming response to a year long aggressive and active worldwide search, Jamal Woolard, a Brooklyn native, was selected to portray the infamous rapper. Notorious is directed by George Tillman Jr.
In just a few short years, The Notorious B.I.G. rose from the streets of Brooklyn to become one of the most influential hip hop artists of all time. B.I.G. was a gifted storyteller; his narratives about violent life on the streets were told with a gritty, objective realism that won him enormous respect and credibility. His stories were universal and gave a voice to his generation.
Wow...I don't think the film will be good at all, but I must say, the guy's life is insanley interesting. I like the actor they got to play him, and Anthony Mackie as Tupac is an inspired choice. The story is interesting, it looks and feels solid, but the trailer was what could be expected...fast editing, Biggie's music, some short shots of him and the people in his life. The guy is one of, if not the greatest rapper ever, and the story is just waiting to be told. Not one I'm anticipating, but one that's at least on my radar.
What are your thoughts???
