NEWS: Download the Dark Knight script, Watchmen Posters, and Magneto...

Hey guys! Here are your noteable headlines for this Tuesday, the 11th of November...

- So, as the Dark Knight nears the $1 BILLION worldwide mark, Warner Brothers has made the screenplay, which is going to be Oscar nominated and is probably the best part of this great film, available for free at their website...

- In other superhero news, the rough plot synopsis for the upcoming superhero film, X-Men Origins: Magneto, has been released...

“The original X-Men film began with a prologue that showed the character as a child being led to a concentration camp by Nazis and that is the period in which the Magneto film will take place. This setup will allow a future villain to at least flirt with the designation of protagonist since the character will be seen almost exclusively in his formative years. The storyline will heavily involve Professor X, the wheelchair-using X-Men leader. That character was a soldier in the allied force that liberated the concentration camps. The professor meets Magneto after the war and while they bond over the realization that they are alike in their special powers, their differences soon turn them into enemies.”

I am personally more excited about seeing this film than the upcoming Wolverine film. What about you?

- 6 New Watchmen posters have been released via Entertainment Weekly, Access Hollywood, MTV, LA Times, USA Today, and WiReD...check them out below!

All are pretty awesome. I know I've been talking about this a lot lately, but not only is it something I'm insanely interested in (I have more anticipation for this than I did for The Dark Knight), but they are FLOODING the web and print with promotion. The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button comes out in about 5 weeks, and this past weekend released its 1ST poster. Watchmen now has 9, not including the seperate character posters released at ComiCon this year, and the first one released at the event in 2007. The marketing has been brilliant, and I can't wait to see the new trailer this Friday.

- Twilight Fans are officially insane...Thanks to /film for the info...
And that appearance tonight in San Francisco? It’s been canceled. Over 3,000 Twilight fans, mostly teenage girls, showed up at the Stonestown Galleria early this morning. That is more than 10 times the amount of people that police officials were expecting. Apparently a few of the teenage fans were trampled, and one girl reportedly broke her nose. The event was cancelled for safety reasons. Some fans had traveled with their families from Los Angeles, Hawaii and Arizona. Watch a video report from the mall on TMZ.

- Jaden Smith, Will Smith's son, will be starring in a remake of The Karate Kid...

- Finally, it seems that after long talks, Baz Lurhman did indeed agree to rewrite the ending to his upcoming film, Australia. Early test screenings came out a little negative on the ending, and the studio felt as though a more positive ending would work better...

That's all I've got for now, come back later for more news and remember to come back here Thursday night for my early review of Quantum of Solace!

Go see something good!

News and notes...

Hey guys! It's been a busy weekend over here, and this week looks to be just the same...here are your headlines!

- Michael Caine has dropped a big one, if what he has said is true. Here is a snippet of an interview taken from MTV's Splash Page...

“I was with [a Warner Bros.] executive and I said, ‘Are we going to make [a sequel to The Dark Knight]?’ They said yeah. I said, ‘How the hell are we going to top Heath? And he says ‘I’ll tell you how you top Heath — Johnny Depp as The Riddler and Philip Seymour Hoffman as The Penguin.’ I said, ‘Shit, they’ve done it again!’” [Laughs]

Chris Nolan is still on vacation, but people close to him have said he wants to keep the theme going of using smaller named actors in the leads. However, this goes perfectly in line with what co-writer David Goyer has said in that the third film will be based around a couple of lesser known villians...thoughts???

- Rumor has it that Will Smith has been approached to play Captain America...
- Fox Searchlight has won the bidding war for Darren Aronofsky's Golden Lion winning film, The Wrestler...Expect a December release, just in time to get Mickey Rourke a possible Oscar nod...
- Finally, Bangkok Dangerous' 7.8 million buck opening has been the worst since Dickie Roberts: Former Child Star...

That's all for now, so come back later for my top 10 Cop Movies...

Brief Weekend Wrap Up...

Hey guys, this post is going to be shorter than normal, and you will find out why in a minute...but first, here is the box office top 10...

1.The Dark Knight
2.The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor
3.Step Brothers
4.Mamma Mia!
5.Journey to the Center of the Earth
6.Swing Vote
7.Hancock
8.WALL-E
9.The X-Files: I Want to Believe
10.Space Chimps

SPACE CHIMPS!?!?!? SPACE CHIMPS!?!?!?! TDK grossed ANOTHER 44 million bucks to lead this week...Pineapple Express....GOOD LUCK!

Alright, this is why I am going to have this shorter than normal...there is NO DVD worth mentioning...Even the geniuses over at Criterion aren't releasing anything this week!!! That all said, on either Monday or Tuesday, I'll have a top 10 so you all can check out some of those, and I will also recommend some others...

Now, this week is not only a mediocre one for DVD sales, but it also sees the release of some less than hotly anticipated films, well, save for one...first there is Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2...and moving on...the second and final film is Pineapple Express, which for those of you who may not have a TV with you at the rock you've been living under, is about two stoners who witness a murder, and their story of running from the said murderers. Now, the fact that it's a Judd Apatow production gives me pause, but then knowing that David Gordon Green, yes, the George Washington/Snow Angels/Undertow/All The Real Girls, David Gordon Green will be helming this stoner epic gives me relief. Go see this flick! I know I will...

So I said I would have a Mummy 3 review this weekend, but I steered clear of that mess, so you can fully expect a PE review this Friday...also, I feel kind of bad about not having anything up this week, so in the upcoming weeks, with the mass of new releases (Vicky Cristina Barcelona anyone???), and the fact I'll be back at school, you can expect a ton of reviews of films in wide release...In the mean time...

I still want to hear about your choices for character's and the actors/resses playing the character for the inevitable third Batman film...

Go see Brideshead Revisited this Friday...I hear it's a good flick...

Go see something good!!

The Dark Knight...Why are you excited??

Alright, so, outside of news that Wanted 2 IS in the works as of this second, there really isn't any news, so I decided, in honor of The Dark Knight's hotly anticipated release this friday, that I might get some information from you all. I know that 99.9 percent of you are pretty stoked for the Caped Crusader to get his ass back in the jet black suit and on the silver screen. However, this films release has one big thing hanging over it. Heath Ledger. The guy looks f-ing phenominal, and I have no doubt in my mind, that come Oscar season, you might hear a little bit about this great actor who was taken from us much to soon. Now, heres the question. Why are you excited to see The Dark Knight...

A) Heath Ledger's Performance
B) Christian Bale's Performance
C) It's Batman, so I'm there
D) Christopher Nolan is a genius
E) The story looks good
F) Cast Looks good
G) It's Batman, so it sucks

Leave a comment and we can get into some of the reasons why this film may be the most anticipated film in years...

Oh, as stated earlier, Wanted will be getting a sequel...thoughts?? I LOVED Wanted, so the more the better...what do you guys think?

New Batman poster...

So, sorry about the late post, but I figure, why not wait for something this amazing. The above picture is the latest in the line of BRILLIANT posters for the upcoming Batman film, The Dark Knight. I think this may be one of the better posters I've seen in a long time. What do you guys think? I know Batman has been the topic on here for a day or two now, but really, there isn't much else to talk about news wise, so lets just keep it going...

I would have a review of Wall-E here, but the film burned, which caused a fire inside of the whole theatre, so that's out of the question. However, of the 30-40 minutes I saw, it may be Pixar's best film yet, and one of the best films of the year. It's truly amazing, and even the short before it is brilliant. I will definitely be checking this one out, just not sure when. You all will be the first to know when I do get out there...maybe this weekend. Maybe a Wall-E/Hancock double feature...who knows...

Alright guys, I'll have a top ten either later tonight or tomorrow, so come back for that. Top 10 films about Voyeurs or maybe a list of 10 films that I think are under seen...Got any other ideas???

Go see something good!!!

Couple of pieces of news...
