NEWS: Matt Damon and Josh Brolin In Talks For True Grit...

Talk about one remake that I am ACTUALLY interested in.

For a while now, the brilliant duo known to us normal mortals as The Coen Brothers, have talked about a remake of the Henry Hathaway-directed, John Wayne-starring 1969 Western, "True Grit." Actually, they have discussed the possibilityn of this film for about two years now, and only recently with the allegedly casting of Jeff Bridges as the lead, which was the role Wayne performed, has this project truly made any headway. However, that has changed drastically after this afternoon.

It appears that Matt Damon and Josh Brolin, the latter was the star of No Country For Old Men, the Coen's classic from two years ago, are now in talks to take up two of the other primary performances.

Oh, and it's going to get started rather quickly, as Paramount is going to fast track this thing, putting it into production in March, hoping for a later 2010 release (Oscar anyone?). Here is how The Playlist breaks down the story:

And it's happening sooner than you think. Paramount is putting the project into production next March for late 2010 release. The film is basically your average Western revenge tale about a young girl whose father is double crossed and killed by a helping-hand/outlaw. She hires a drunken U.S. Marshal (Wayne/now Bridges), later joined by a Texas Ranger, to seek revenge.

Damon is in talks to play the lawman/Texas Ranger (Glen Campbell in the original) who teams with the drunken U.S. Marshal (Bridges) and a 14-year old girl to track her father’s killer into hostile Indian territory. Brolin is in discussions to play the killer. The young girl has yet to be cast, just don't make it one of the Fanning sisters, please.

I've never seen the original, but after seeing and loving No Country For Old Men, I have total faith in the idea of Coen directed Western. While that film isn't directly a Western, there are many Western elements, and the story seems to be one that the duo could hit out of the park, as they do with pretty much every film they decide to make. Hell, these two could film a midget reading the phonebook in spanish, and I'd watch it. Actually, that would be one hell of a David Lynch film. Tell me you wouldn't watch that thing?

The interesting aspect of this news is that Damon is involved, and is set to have a MONSTER freaking '10. He's in "Liberace", Eastwoods "Hereafter", all hoping for a release in that big year. This guy is set to have a huge year, and is really setting himself up to be the next true Hollywood style movie star. And I must say, this is one guy I will definitely support in that role.

NEWS: Marc Webb To Remake Just Another Love Story...

Late last night, the trades were bombarded with news, primarily about a brand new remake getting lined up by Mandate Pictures.

It appears as though Mandate has tapped 500 Days of Summer director Marc Webb to remake the 2009 film, Just Another Love Story, which was previously directed by Danish film maker Ole Bornedal, and was released in only 2 theatres this past January.

I had a chance to see the film once it hit DVD, and I must say, it's quite fantastic. The film follows a family man, who attempts to do a good deed for an acident victim suffering from amnesia, only to fall deeper and deeper into her complicated and violent life.

As /Film points out, this reminds film fans of Christopher Nolan's remake of the Swedish film, Insomnia, which he would later redo, only 5 years after the originals release. These situations are the only ones in which I think a remake may be a good thing, or at least not necisarilly a bad one. If anything, we will get an interesting shift in tone for Webb (500 Days is a sweet tale of love, but Love Story is a dark and heavy film noir/suspense film), but the original, a great film, will hopefully get some buzz and some added viewings as it is available at most film rental shops.

Webb has also been attatched to the much talked about remake of Jesus Christ Superstar, which to me, while a good fit, isn't as interesting a concept as his remake of Love Story.

FIRST LOOK: The Kung-Fu Kid...

I know, I know, blasphemy right.

"How could they?" we all decried. "They are literally crapping on my childhood," we all lamented.

However, that hasn't stopped the new remake of the classic Karate Kid. Not one of my personal favorites, this has a lot of nostalgia attached to it, no matter what you thought of the film. Many of us were raised having seen this film, and were better human beings for it.

The same can not be said for the people behind this truly uncalled for remake. Today we have the first set of on set photos from the cinematic equivalent of a aged hooker coming out of retirement for one last frolic between the std-infested sheets of her consumers. Enjoy, if you are so inclined.

As you probably know by now, Jaden Smith plays Dre, a skateboarding video game buff who is forced to move to China after his single mother (Taraji P. Henson) is forced to transfer to the China for work. Of course, unable to speak Chinese, Dre finds it hard to settle in, and gets beat up by the local bully. Jackie Chan plays Mr. Han (the Mr. Miyagi character), a maintenance man who spots Dre’s black-eye and offers to teach him both martial arts and Chinese, so he can defend against the students of Li Quan Ha’s Fighting dragon school of Kung-Fu.

Directed by Harald Zwart (The Pink Panther 2) and written by Chris Murphy and Steven Conrad (The Pursuit of Happyness). Filming on the remake has begun in Beijing, and is expected to last until mid-October.

NEWS: Yellow Submarine To Get Remade?

It looks like Robert Zimeckis will continue his run of motion capture films, and add the Beatles Yellow Submarine to the likes of Beowulf and the upcoming adaptation of A Christmas Carol. Currently he and Disney are in negotiations to gain the rights to remake the film, one that I hold as being possibly in the list of 10 BEST animated films of all time. At least the most enjoyable.

Variety has the scoop:

The studio has been quietly brokering a complicated rights deal that would give Zemeckis access to 16 original Beatles songs for a movie he will direct in the performance-capture 3-D digital production format he employed for “A Christmas Carol.” Disney opens that film November 6, with Jim Carrey playing Scrooge as well as the three ghosts who haunt him in the Charles Dickens tale.

The hope is to have "Yellow Submarine" ready to premiere around the 2012 Summer Olympics, which begins July 27 in London.

Disney would not comment on the negotiations or the project. Zemeckis’s ImageMovers would produce.

There are a few things that come out of this news story, the biggest of which is the sudden resurgance of interest in the Beatles. There is the much hyped Beatles Rock Band which is due out next month, and along with that, films like Across The Universe have brought this legendary band (easily top five for yours truly) back into the mainstreams mind.

Also, and while it comes as no surprise, Zimeckis will be doing this in motion capture 3D, and while at first glance that sounds fine, I personally think that the entire feel of the original will be lost, and while it WILL be a remake, I love the style of the original, that it's going to be hard to lose that.

Finally, the song list. The deal DID include 16 songs, which include the title track, along with “All Together Now,” “Baby You’re a Rich Man,” “All You Need Is Love,” “When I’m 64,” “Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds” and “Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club Band.” I love those tracks, and minus "Rich Man", this may be THE only reason I would give this film a fighting chance, at least in this state in the project. I'm sure when I actually see something from it, my tune will be completely changed.

For those who don't know, the original took place in Pepperland, an undersea paradise protected by Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. When the band is captured by the Blue Meanies, a soldier is sent to Liverpool to fetch the Fab Four, who hop in the submarine and save the day. This is one of the more fun animated features, and along with A Hard Day's Night, made the Beatles not only a brilliant band, but also true crossover stars, not only monitarily, but quality as well.

Overall this project sounds interesting, but I hope that they don't try to stick with the original, as much as I love it. Could they pull it off, sure, but the original's style is so original and all it's own, at least in the realm of film, they need to do something different.

NEWS: Oldboy Remake DOA?

Well, as of this second, it looks so (and that was the girlsh scream you heard me just yell out of excitement)

Steven Spielberg and Will Smith have been developing (or so news has said) an American remake (of sorts) of the famous and brilliant film, Oldboy, which was the second film of Chan-wook Park's vengence trilogy (with Sympathy for Mr. Vengance, and Sympathy for Lady Vengance as the trilogy's bookends). It was going to be an adaptation of the original Manga by Nobuaki Mingegishi and Garon Tsuchiya, which the afformentione film was also based on.

However, that may have just been thrown in the gutter by Japanese publisher Futabasga. Here's what a report from AnimeNewsNetwork stated:

Futabasha is suing to confirm the lack of a binding contract between the two parties, due to an alleged breach. Futabasha asserts that Show East violated its basic agreement with Futabasha, and thus nullified it, when Show East pushed for the production of a film remake with America’s Universal Pictures. Show East signed its contract with Futabasha over film rights in September of 2002, and signed a second contract in December of 2003 that amended the original one to cover other materials.

If you have not seen the original film, Oldboy, then you have something important to do right now. The film is easily one of the best modern revenge films (possibly the best of all time), and one of the best films period, from the past 10 years. It follows a man, named Dae-Su, who is locked in a room for 15 years without knowing why or who is his captor. He is suddenly released, given money, clothes and a cellphone and is sent on journey for revenge. Really, this movie is something that should not be missed by anyone. Also, tell me this fight scene isn't bad ass.

This is perfect news, and while I do love Speilberg, Smith is NOT someone who should be in this film, and really, Speilberg isn't a director that should be doing this film. It's not a big film, but quite the opposite. It's a stark and disturbing look at revenge, and the films style is equally as intimate and dark. What do YOU think?

NEWS: WTF Is Pixar's Brave?

So, while doing promotion for their upcoming release, Up, Pixar’s Pete Docter and Jonas Rivera had an interview with ComingSoon.net, and with the uttering of a single word, they have created a firestorm of rumors.

Once in a while, we’re at these meetings where we all look at Toy Story 3 or Brave or whatever and we all give comments and notes, but that’s just like a day here or there.

WTF is Brave?

Well, one look at UpcomingPixar's Twitter page, and you will see that this may not have been some random slip up. However, there are a few films that this could be a mention of.

The best bet is that it may be a new title, or working title, for the upcoming Pixar film, The Bear and The Bow. The title hints at a story that could be about bravery, so that is one way it could go.

Another way this could go, is that since it was mentioned with Toy Story 3, it could be some sort of sequel or remake. There has been much talk about what will probably be an inevitable Monster's Inc. sequel, so it could be a working title for that. Or could it be the title of a sequel to Pixar's best film in my eyes, The Incredibles? Insanely unlikely, but at this point, no one knows a thing about this. On the remake front, /Film has an interesting idea:

My own suspicion (though it is only a vague one and I definitely wouldn’t stack any chips on it yet) is that Brave is a new adaptation of Thomas M. Disch’s The Brave Little Toaster.

Already adapted into an animated film - and two sequels - the original novel was billed by the author as “a bedtime story for small appliances”. He set the novel up for an adaptation at Disney, though that never quite happened. Later, the deal shifted and Hyperion produced the film, though it was distributed by Disney in 1987.

With that films strong ties to Pixar and its family, it is not out of the realm of possiblity that this film could be a hint at a Pixar created remake/adaptation of the film/novella, Brave Little Toaster.

What do you think this could be about?

NEWS: The Coen's Blood Simple To Be Remade?

Well, possibly.

Variety is reporting that Chinese director, Zhang Yimou, who directed not only Jet Li's Hero and Curse Of The Golden Flower, but also created the stunning Opening Ceremony for the 2008 Bejing Olympics, is working on a new film, entitled Amazing Tales - Three Guns.

However, that may not be the interesting piece of news. Slashfilm, in all of their investigative brilliance, is stating that it may very well be a veiled remake of the classic Coen Brother's film, their debut, Blood Simple. Here's what they had to say.

The Monkey Peaches report makes it sound like the new project has taken the Blood Simple plot and relocated it in both space and time. It seems that they’re hoping for some martial arts in there too, which the Coens certainly didn’t include. The site appears to have contacted Zhang Welping, the film’s producer, but he wouldn’t commit to either a full denial or confirmation. Instead, the best Monkey Peaches could attribute to him is that it was “possible” that the film was based upon “a Hollywood movie

First off, let me get into just how great Blood Simple, the Coen's best film in my eyes, really is. Here's the plot synopsis:

A rich but jealous man hires a private investigator to kill his cheating wife and her new man. But, when blood is involved, nothing is simple.

There are double crosses, affairs, and some brilliant film noir tropes, that make this easily one of the, if not the best, modern film noir piece to come out. It's just a really great film, and one I hold close to my heart.

That said, there is nothing truly sacred. All, or at least the majority, of films can be redone, and with better results, if in the right hands. That last part seems to never happen, but with this, it may work. We will just have to wait and see.

What do you think?

REVIEW: Last House On The Left...

I love horror films. There may not be a more interesting or entertaining genre of film. Sure, film noir is my favorite genre, but horror, there is just something about good, frightening horror films that I dig. However, modern horror sucks. From Saw to Hostel, we've exchanged horror for porn.

Porn, as defined by Websters: the depiction of acts in a sensational manner so as to arouse a quick intense emotional reaction

This, unfortunately, is where Last House On The Left falls.

After kidnapping and brutally assaulting two young women, a gang led by a prison escapee unknowingly finds refuge at a vacation home belonging the parents of one of the victims -- a mother and father who devise an increasingly gruesome series of revenge tactics. That's about as deep as this shallow, gorno film goes.

The biggest difference between solid, truly frightening horror, and what we have today, is the lack of purpose. In Last House, there are some of the most grotesque and truly disturbing depictions of violence, that it's truly one of the most intense and emotionally destroying films I've seen in a long time. However, it's handled really poorly. There is a moment, during a soon to be infamous scene, where the camera goes off of the action, by pulling back away from the heinous act. However, Dennis Iliadis, a rookie director, doesn't know when to cut, so he goes right back into the middle of the act.

Normally, I'm not one to say that something isn't worth seeing due to a disturbing scene or scenes, but this film is one that forces me to come out on that end. The end of this film, while it is fun and entertaining, lacks any emotional depth, that it's just there to get a rise out of the viewer. Sure, that's what horror does, but instead of messing with us psychologically like a film such as Funny Games does, this one just delves in the depths of films like the aforementioned Saw. The torture is there, but without any real purpose.

Yes, there are a couple of positives, mainly from the mother and father. Not only do they give some reality and depth to what could be simple, cardboard characters, but their decent into madness is really stunning. When the couple takes their first life, a simple shot of the fathers face as the deed is happening is really shocking. You see him go from simply protecting his daughter, to wanting this man to die, all simply from a look on the face. The mother is equally as good.

That, however, is where the positives stop. The film is cliche visually, the score, while subdued, is standard, and there is no reason for this film to exist. The original film from '72 was so heavily influential on today's films, particularly those from Alexandre Aja, like High Tension (a vastly superior film that treads similar ground), yet to have that as your base, makes this remake all the more disappointing. Go rent the original. Never see this film.

LAST HOUSE ON THE LEFT - 1/10

Sorry for the short review, but really, I don't want to talk about it anymore. Just skip this film.

TRAILER: Last House On The Left...

I really normally hate remakes. However, some films are completely ripe and ready to get a second chance on the big screen. I personally prefer re-releasing films, but in the instances of Friday the 13th and Nightmare on Elm Street, I think they could both gain from current technology, and have the capabilities of being a really great series that just needs to be rebooted. However, this remake has me quite puzzled. Rouge Pictures, who just released the first trailer for Dito Montiel's Fighting, has continued their roll by releasing this new, kind of fun looking, trailer for the Wes Craven produced remake of his own feature debut, The Last House On The Left...

I had mentioned this about three months back during Halloween season, as a possible remake that could work, but had no idea that it was actually being done. I love the original, and it's a very dark and just insane film, that looks to be a pretty solid remake. I ESPECIALLY love the very creepy, if a little wierd, cover of Sweet Child O' Mine by Taken By Trees. What are your thoughts on this? Have any of you seen the original? Does this look interesting to you? Why haven't you all seen Funny Games?

HERE'S THE PLOT SYNOPSIS - Masters of horror Wes Craven and Sean Cunningham revisit their landmark film that launched Craven’s directing career and influenced decades of horror films to follow: The Last House on the Left. Bringing one of the most notorious thrillers of all time to a new generation, they produce the story that explores how far two ordinary people will go to exact revenge on the sociopaths who harmed their child.

The night she arrives at the remote Collingwood lakehouse, Mari (Sara Paxton) and her friend are kidnapped by a prison escapee and his crew. Terrified and left for dead, Mari’s only hope is to make it back to parents John and Emma (Tony Goldwyn and Monica Potter). Unfortunately, her attackers unknowingly seek shelter at the one place she could be safe. And when her family learns the horrifying story, they will make three strangers curse the day they came to The Last House on the Left.

NEWS: He Man, Captain America, and the Worst. Idea. Ever.

Hey guys! Here are your major headlines for this Wednesday, the 19th of November, 2008...

- It looks as though the director of Kung Fu Panda, John Stevenson, will be helming the much talked about adaptation of He Man...

- Early reviews for Valkyrie have been released, and lets just say they aren't to hot, particularly one scene in which Tom Cruise must give the "heil Hitler" salute...

It’s an unsettling scene but you almost start to laugh…His character is resisting it but you never forget it’s Tom Cruise saying “Heil Hitler.” It’s funny and shocking at the same time.

READ THE FULL MSNBC ARTICLE HERE

Also, a new article over at the New York Times discusses just how much risk this film is and can be for MGM...

Valkyrie has turned into a test not only of Mr. Cruise’s career durability, but of MGM’s determination — with new ownership, and under the chairmanship of Harry E. Sloan since 2005 — to be taken seriously as a producer and distributor of the kind of risky event films that define a major studio.

If Valkyrie succeeds, even moderately, MGM wins a modicum of credibility in image-is-everything Hollywood. A failure brings fresh sniping that the studio does not know what it is doing, making the job of attracting top-notch talent even harder. Financially speaking, the stakes are considerable. With a stated production budget of $75 million — competitors insist it is closer to $90 million — Valkyrie is the most expensive film made for distribution by MGM under Sloan’s watch. The studio will now spend about $60 million to market the movie — if nothing else, to make the point that it can play in the big leagues.

Thanks to /film for the update!

- Disney will be rereleasing Beauty and The Beast in 3D come 2010...AWESOME

- Gore Verbinski is set to produce, with much talked about commercial director, Frank Bond in the directors chair, a remake of the critically beloved, including much love from yours truly, Korean monster film, The Host...

- Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, scribes of the recent Chronicles of Narnia films, are in final negotiations to pen the script for the upcoming Captain America film. Also, in an interesting thought, a few people, mainly the guys over at cinematical, have begun discussing who could fill the boots of Cap himself, and they have talked about Channing Tatum, most famous for his roles in Step Up, and the upcoming G.I. Joe film. What are YOUR thoughts on that? I think it could really work. He's a fine actor, especially in A Guide To Recognizing Your Saints, and he wouldn't be a big hit on the Avengers budget, like a previously talked about actor, Matthew McConaughey, would be. Thoughts?

- Finally, in the worst idea in the history of man category, it looks like the man behind the brilliant cinematic achievement that was Poseidon, Mark Protosevich, has landed the job of penning the script for the upcoming Oldboy remake...this makes me disappointed, angry, and mainly sad. I challenge all of you to PLEASE rent, no, buy the original, and see what a brilliant film it is, and how it will not work with the current people at the helm.

I have one question for you all to answer, and it relates to this ridiculous idea. What makes subtitled films SO unpopular, so much that American remakes are almost needed to get people to see a film? Why do you like or dislike subtitled films? I LOVE them, and I really think, especially foreign horror films, are so much better than there American counterparts, that it's almost laughable to see people try to remake them. Thoughts?

Expect a review of Australia tomorrow, and come back later for more movie news and notes...

NEWS: Oldboy Remake...

Okay, so I've had a long night. I've got papers to write, housing fees to pay, and now this crap bomb has been released...

It looks as though Steven Speilberg and Will Smith are set to direct and star in a new remake of cult hit and personal favorite of mine, Oldboy. Thanks to /film for this interesting information...

Steven Spielberg and Will Smith are in talks to collaborate on a remake of Chan Wook-Park’s Oldboy. Spielberg has been looking for an opportunity to work with Smith for a few years now, and this just might be the project. DreamWorks is in the process of securing the remake rights, and Spielberg is on the search for a screenwriter to develop the project. The project was originally set up with Fast and Furious director Justin Lin.

In the 2003 South Korean film, a man named Dae-Su is locked in a hotel room for 15 years without knowing why or who is holding him captive. He is suddenly released, given money, clothes and a cellphone and is sent on journey for revenge. The film won the Grand Prix at the 2004 Cannes Film Festival and was highly praised by Jury President Quentin Tarantino. Roger Ebert called Oldboy a “powerful film not because of what it depicts, but because of the depths of the human heart which it strips bare” … “We are so accustomed to ‘thrillers’ that exist only as machines for creating diversion that it’s a shock to find a movie in which the action, however violent, makes a statement and has a purpose.” It definitely has one of the best side-scrolling action scenes I’ve ever seen (included below).

This may be one of the greatest and most viscerally intense and exhausting films I've ever seen, and I personally don't think Speilberg and Smith are good fits, especially Smith. This is an INSANELY dark and intense film, and it doesn't seem like his kind of film. Speilberg is a similar story. It's a visually stunning film, but not necisarrily in Speilbergs sort of way. Now, this remake is going to get made no matter what, so this isn't the worst case, but I think it should go to a more visually oriented director. Someone like a Darron Aronofsky or maybe, here's a novel thought...LEAVE IT THE HELL ALONE...

For those few of you who have seen it, what do you think about this news? If you haven't had the chance to check this film out, please, do yourself a favor, rent this right away.

NEWS: Kurosawa, Farting Dogs, and a retirement...

Hey guys! Here are your headlines for this Wednesday, the 29th of October...

- Martin Scorcese, David Mamet, and Mike Nichols are set to remake the classic Akira Kurosawa film, High and Low...thanks to /film for the information...

Mike Nichols (Closer, Charlie Wilson’s War) will direct a remake of Akira Kurosawa’s High and Low.

Based loosely on Evan Hunter’s King’s Ransom, the original 1963 detective thriller that tells the story of an executive named Kingo Gondo, who learns that his son has been kidnapped. He is prepared to pay the ransom amount until he discovers that the kidnappers mistakenly abducted the child of his chauffeur. Gondo must decide between using the money he has saved up for a critical corporate buyout, or to use the cash to save his drivers son.

If the names involved thus far don’t get you excited, then read on. Originally commissioned by Martin Scorsese in 1999, the screenplay is written by David Mamet. The film has yet to begin casting, but it sounds like the ball is now rolling after years of being stalled due to rights issues. Scott Rudin will produce, and its likely that Scorsese will executive produce.

What do you guys think? Have any of you seen this film? If not, do it right away...

- It looks as though Joaquin Phoenix may be retiring from film to pursue an acting career...take it for what it is, but watch the interview...

What do you make of this? I think he sounds like he's serious, and if so, that really sucks...

- Check out the new poster for The International

- A Utah Theatre chain is refusing to show this weeks upcoming release, Zack And Miri Make A Porno, as the owner believes it is "very close to NC-17 with it's graphic nudity and graphic sex." Why does this country have no problem with violence, but as soon as some nudity is shown, the people begin running to the hills...I like what cinematical had to say on the issue...

I will never understand why we're so afraid of sex in this country. It boggles my mind. Not only are we deathly afraid of sex, but we're also afraid of words. Combine a scary word and a film that carries a sex scene or two and you have what some would argue was an act of terrorism. Seriously. Ask Utah Jazz and Megaplex Theatres owner Larry Miller, who is refusing to screen Kevin Smith's Zack and Miri Make a Porno because he feels "it's very close to an NC-17 with its graphic nudity and graphic sex."

Could not agree with them more...

- It looks like a remake of The Attack of The Killer Tomatoes is in the works...

- Everyone can rejoice, as the Jonas Brothers are coming to a theatre near you...thanks to Movieweb for the info...

20th Century Fox has signed on the Jonas Brothers for their feature starring debut in Walter the Farting Dog, based on a bestselling series of books by William Kotzwinkle and Glenn Murray.

The title character in the “Walter” books is a fat dog with severe flatulence. The brothers play musicians whose parents are asked to care for the dog by an aunt just before she passes away.

Wow...I can't even come up with a joke, and for those of you who know me, it takes a lot to leave me that speachless...Wow...I not only have a problem with the whole idea of the film, but the fact that THIS is getting a film, and I would go bankrupt if I attempted to make a full length film is some bullshit. This is why I think we as a culture suck. No, knowing that this will be number 1 in the box office for sure, is why we as a culture suck.

- Finally, The American Pie series may be heading back to theatres for a fourth film in the original series...

That's all I've got for now, so come back later for more movie news and reviews...

Alright, so the biggest news today comes from overseas. Christian Bale was back on the promotion path yesturday, as he was at the Spain premiere for The Dark Knight. He was allowed to leave custody to continue his promotion, and it is coming out that the mother and sister may have actually had alterior motives. It is rumored that the mother has been jelous of her son, and husbands fame, and this is a direct correlation of that. Witnesses have also said that the abuse was indeed physical, but not to the stature that the true "dynamic duo" has blown it out to be. Also, reportedly some big time magazines have already begun offering the two huge sums of dinero to tell their side of the story. Wow...thoughts? For me, this changes a lot. I was giving the mother and sister the benefit of the doubt, and sticking up for them almost, until today. While it's not alright in any shape or form to strike your sister or mother, it's also not right for the woman who raised you to use one of your own faults, in Bale's case, his temper, for cash profit. What are your thoughts?

Alright, so that's all I have for now. Expect more news to come as Comicon starts (on G4), in about a half an hour...
