So, since it's a lackluster news weekend, I decided that I would go through my favorite websites, and one of them had a really interesting piece of information.
Over at In Contention, a website created to handicap awards and what films could be up for some, had a film at the top of it's Best Picture list. It's called the Human Factor, and is Clint Eastwood's next directorial outing, and is a biopic based around the life of Nelson Mandella. Now, that alone is interesting enough, but who they have cast as Mr. Mandella is what puts me over the edge.
Morgan Freeman...
Yes. God himself, Morgan Freeman is tapped to play Nelson Mandella, in Human Factor, that has since gone into pre-production.
Perfect casting if I do say so myself.

- Nine, a musical directed by Chicago helmer Rob Marshall, starring Daniel Day-Lewis.
- Taking Woodstock, Ang Lee's next feature film
- Shutter Island, directed by Martin Scorsese and his new DeNiro, Leonardo DiCaprio
- And Amelia, a biopic based on the life of Amelia Earhart, starring Hillary Swank
What film or films do YOU think have a punchers chance of getting an Oscar nod? Sure, we are 2 months in, but who ever said that earliness is wrong, can shove it there "oh, what is Slumdog Millionaire and The Reader?" asses.
