NEWS: Heath, The Wrestler, and Twilight 2...

Hey guys! It's Sunday night, and the news is already starting to pour in...here are your headlines...

- It looks like the upcoming Twilight sequel, New Moon, is not going to be helmed by Catherine Hardwicke. /Film gets the tip of the hat...

Nikki Finke over at DeadlineHollywoodDaily is reporting that Twilight director Catherine Hardwicke has been removed from the Twilight franchise. Finke’s contacts report that Hardwicke was “difficult” and “irrational” during the making of the film. One contact also explains that “Summit didn’t like her. They’re saying the [director of photography] Elliot Davis is the one responsible for the film’s sumptuous visual look, that the editor Nancy Richardson had to save the film in post-production, and Summit thought Hardwicke’s [CAA] agent Beth Swofford was alternately ineffectual and hysterical.” This is inauspicious news for Hardwicke, as the whole crew is currently on their European press tour. Undoubtedly, there will be some painfully awkward Q&A sessions beginning tomorrow, as I’m sure this will be the first question on journalists’ minds.

I hear the biggest problem with the film was the direction, so this could be a huge deal. What do you guys think?

- Frank Miller and Rosario Dawson have confirmed that Sin City 2 has indeed been written, and they will, hopefully, begin shooting in April of next year...

- In Contention has a download for the upcoming theme for The Wrestler, performed by Bruce Springsteen...It's AMAZING, and a must listen...

- Heath Ledger has won his first acting award of this year, as he has just won one of the most prestigious acting awards in his native Australia...

- Finally, it looks like Robert Pattinson is trying to expand his career into films that don't have a book to be based on, as he is staring in Little Ashes, as the brilliant artist, Salvidor Dali...check out the trailer below...

Come back during the week for the Top 10 Hottest Sex Scenes (should be interesting), 15 Horror Films To Get You Started, other pieces of news and notes, and hopefully a review of Milk, along with either The Day The Earth Stood Still, Happy-Go-Lucky, or Rachel Getting Married. Oh, and a new Watchmen Video Journal is out, so I will post the previous 8, along with the new one...
