NEWS: Independent Spirit Award Nominations...

So, it is indeed award season, and while there are a high amount of awards that could and probably should be talked about, The Independent Spirit Awards are always the most interesting, and cause me running to my local video store more often. The Spirit Awards Nominating Committee applies the following guidelines in making its selections. Final interpretation of all rules and regulations and eligibility of submissions shall be made by the Spirit Awards Nominating Committee:
1. Uniqueness of vision
2. Original, provocative subject matter
3. Economy of means
4. Percentage of financing from independent sources


What are your thoughts on the nominations? This is always one award show I tried to watch until I got to college and lost IFC as a channel to watch, and they are interesting awards. What do you think?
