TRAILER: The Expendables Promo Trailer...

So this trailer is pretty much exactly what anyone who knows anything about this project, and who is involved, would and should of expected. And I must say, it is kind of badass.

Overall this film has '80s action film written all over it's bloody corpse. Seriously, the plot reads as a group of badasses are grouped to take down some military dictator. What is more '80's action film than that? Throw in more explosion than you can shake a Michael Bay boner at, and then toss in the group that they have assembled, and you have the greatest collection of action stars ever put on the screen.

Oh, and when Dolph Lundgren drops the Showdown in Little Tokyo reference by telling Jet Li to "bring it happy feet!", one can't help but be completely sold on this film.

I know I sure as hell am.

The story follows a team of mercenaries who head to South America on a mission to overthrow a dictator.

The Expendables is both written and directed by legendary action actor and filmmaker Sylvester Stallone, who has also directed Paradise Alley, Rocky 2, 3, and 4, as well as the most recent Rambo movie. This is a Nu Image / Millennium Films production produced by Avi Lerner and Les Weldon. Lionsgate is bringing The Expendables to theaters starting on August 20th, 2010 late next year. Glad to see its very hard R!

Just for good measure:

Badass.

Go see something good!

  1. Really excited for this film. Even though his role might be small, I'm looking forwrard to seeing Mickey Rourke. I really hope his newfound success continues.
